January 4, 2019 by Steve Laswell

You’re welcome to join me.

The promise

Promises matter.

A promise deals in potential, possibilities, and something significant: what you hope for in the future. Starting this New Year, you believe advancement is…

What’s the nitty-gritty behind successful people?

December 19, 2013 by Steve Laswell

Imagine an old table. The current finish covers three other layers of paint hiding the beautiful red oak grain. Your goal: to restore the natural wood with a hand rubbed finish.

The paint surrenders to the abrasive aluminum oxide 60-grit sandpaper. With time, the wood grain is revealed confirming the value of your second-hand store snag.

The oak wood has smaller imperfections requiring additional preparation….

April 1, 2013 by Steve Laswell

“Is the glass half empty or half full?”

Google the phrase and you’ll see Wikipedia places “half empty” in front of “half full.”

Rishi S via Compfight

Interesting. Why is the wording not, “Is the glass half full or half empty?”

This idiom promotes a way to explore differing worldviews and illustrates…
